Members of Class ’75 of Rizal Elementary School (RES) and Class ’79 of Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) recently partnered to donate books for the RES library.
The initiative, which coincided with the 50th anniversary of Class ’75, is in support of the literacy development program of the school and also contributes to its educational resources.
The donation consisted of a substantial collection of children’s reading books and 10 boxes of reference books that will significantly enhance library resources and provide students with access to a wider range of literature and educational materials.

RES principal Pedro Crispe Jr. said access to diverse and engaging reading materials is crucial for fostering a love of reading, improving reading skills, and enhancing overall academic performance.
Crispe, along with adopt-a-school program coordinator Gina Ong and alumni coordinator Rolinda Besinan, received the donation.
The partnership and generosity of the alumni groups will have a lasting impact on the educational experiences of the students, Class ’75 president Roberto Aguillon said.
“The book donation initiative is a testament to the power of partnership and the importance of supporting literacy development in our communities,” he added. ||
