A 31-year-old woman lost her life after she was reportedly struck by her live-in partner in the head during a heated argument in Dos Hermanos Street, Barangay 3, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Sept. 7.
Police said that “Ezzence”, 31, and “James”, 33, were in a heated altercation at around 2 a.m., reportedly due to jealousy, when the latter struck her in the head, and she collapsed.
The victim was rushed to the San Carlos Doctor’s Hospital but was pronounced dead by attending physicians.
The victim’s mother reported the incident to the San Carlos City Police Station at around 7:45 a.m. that same day.
The suspect, meanwhile, voluntarily surrendered to the police and is now in custody awaiting legal disposition and the filing of appropriate charges. | TMD
