The pre-marriage counselling fee will increase to P300, from the current P100, per City Ordinance 528-2010, which created the Pre-Marriage Counseling Team in Bacolod.
Councilor Celia Matea Flor, who authored the amendatory ordinance recently passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, said there shall be a fee of P300 for every pre-marriage orientation and counseling (PMOC) to be conducted by the team.
The PMOC fee shall solely be for the enhancement and improvement of PMOC programs and capacity development, like trainings, workshop, updating, and accreditation of the team members.
She noted that 16 years have passed since the passage and implementation of CO 528.
“Higher demands for more efficient service to meet fast changing technological advancement on trainings, workshops, and orientations conducted during regular sessions or special exclusive sessions, call for some amendments,” Flor added. | CGC
