‘Hyperlocality’

September 18, 2023

Remember those days in your good, old hometown when your neighbor meant more than just your “hello, how are you” partner?

The reporter misunderstood or deliberately mistook the words ‘F- Joe Biden,’ and on air said the crowd was chanting ‘Let’s go Brandon,’ referring to Brandon Brown, the driver she was interviewing.

American justice system

September 7, 2023

I seldom watch TV, and when I do, there are some things I try my best to avoid. One of those things is the media obsession for the ongoing legal issues of our former president – three indictments now and counting. Unfortunately, I was recently in a situation where it was unavoidable and at the time happened to be in the company of an old friend who grew up in South Korea.

‘A global game changer’

September 7, 2023

In the news and dominating the headlines recently, apart from the ongoing investigations being done in the august halls of Congress, is how US-China relations is being defined vis-à-vis the new leadership in the Philippines as well as the outcome of the forthcoming US presidential elections in November this year. What is heaven like?

September 6, 2023

One of the questions that we ask is that what happens after we die in this earth. The Bible is very clear that there are only two eternal destinations – it is either we go to heaven or to hell. There is no in between.
