Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson thanked and honored the retired employees of the provincial government of Negros Occidental, during the “Pasalamat…Paalam Tribute for Retirees”, held at Negros Residences in Bacolod City, this afternoon, Dec. 7.
Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, together with the department and office heads of the retirees were also present during the activity.

Lacson said the retirees have been heroes of public service and deserve everyone’s respect and appreciation.
He also said that retirement must be considered a gift because some were not given such a privilege.
“You have done your part in serving your fellowmen through government work, may your golden years lead you to more meaningful pursuits as you continue to serve God,” the governor added in a press release.
Lacson, meanwhile, received a Certificate of Appreciation and plaque from Operation Smile Philippines to acknowledge the provincial government’s collaborative effort and support in the conduct of surgeries for patients born with cleft lip and palate conditions in the province.
HOPE Volunteers Foundation Inc. and Operation Smile Team Negros Occidental turned over the certificate to Lacson at the Governor’s Office Tuesday afternoon. ||
