Three motorists died following a head-on collision of their motorcycles in Barangay Malabuhan, Siaton, Negros Oriental Saturday night (Aug. 23).
The victims, Rolly Palagtiw, 36, a teacher; James Mejio, 27, a farmer, and his passenger Aquino Paira, 54, were all declared dead on arrival at the Congressman Lamberto L. Macias Hospital, a report of the Police Regional Office- Negros Island Region showed.
Initial police investigation indicated that Mejio, who was driving a 125 Skygo with Paira as his backrider, collided with the 150 Yamaha Sniper driven by Palagtiw.
Meijo overtook another vehicle and crashed into the motorcycle of Palagtiw, who was on his way to Bayawan City.
According to police report, all the three victims suffered severe injuries. | GB
