The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Negros Island Region (LTFRB-NIR) marked a significant milestone in strengthening its regional operations and public service delivery with the blessing of its regional and mobile offices, alongside the oathtaking ceremony for newly-hired personnel Oct. 28 in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
The LTFRB NIR Mobile Office is an innovative initiative designed to bring essential services directly to transport stakeholders and the riding public across the region. Equipped with a dedicated service area inside the bus, the mobile office is intended to serve as an extension of the regional office, allowing the agency to provide more accessible and convenient frontline services to public transport operators, drivers, and other stakeholders.
The mobile office is set to travel across the provinces of Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, and Siquijor, bringing government services closer to communities, particularly those located far from the regional office in Dumaguete City, the agency said.

Through this initiative, the LTFRB-NIR aims to reduce geographical barriers, improve service accessibility, and strengthen its presence in various localities, ensuring that transportation-related government assistance can reach stakeholders wherever services are needed.
The introduction of this mobile service facility underscores the agency’s commitment to innovative and responsive governance. “By extending its services beyond the confines of a traditional office, the LTFRB-NIR takes another step toward improving public convenience, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and promoting inclusive transportation governance throughout the region.”
The blessing ceremony was led by LTFRB acting chairman, Atty. Greg Pua Jr., LTFRB-NIR director Atty. Gerry Llena, and Negros Oriental Governor Chaco Sagarbarria, who highlighted the continuing collaboration between national and local government officials in advancing accessible, efficient, and reliable public transportation services throughout the Negros Island Region. ||
