The Philippine National Police is recruiting 6,589 new police officers nationwide, in line with its 2025 Attrition Recruitment Program, following the approval of the National Police Commission (Napolcom).
Of the new recruits, 300 will be earmarked for Negros Island Region, according to the Napolcom.
The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region supervises the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, Siquijor Police Provincial Office, and Bacolod City Police Office.
The average monthly pay of a patrolman or patrolwoman is about P29,668.
The Police Regional Office-Western Visayas also has a recruitment quota of 300 policemen. | GB
