The Siquijor Police Provincial Office (SPPO) said it successfully held a simulation exercise (simex) on an abduction scenario at Paliton Beach, San Juan in Siquijor Aug. 16.
The simex was conducted to assess the readiness, coordination, and swift response of all agencies in handling abduction cases and similar critical incidents in the province, the SPPO, under the leadership of provincial director, P/Col. Emelie Santos, said in a post Aug. 17.

The activity was a collaborative effort with the Philippine Coast Guard, PNP Maritime Police Station, Philippine Army, Bureau of Fire Protection, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the San Juan local government, the Oracis Radio Group, and barangay officials of Paliton.
In attendance were P/Col. Lito Patay from the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region, Board Member Erson Digal, chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Peace and Order Committee, and San Juan Mayor Rubilyn Ragay. ||
