RT-PCR docs not required for fully vaxxed migrant workers

Migrant workers from Antique need not present a negative RT-PCR test results if they are fully vaccinated, or had availed of booster shots, said Provincial Inter-Agency Task action officer, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz.

About 3,000 migrant workers are arriving in Negros Occidental, starting this month, to work in the different sugarcane plantations all over Negros Occidental, following the start of the harvest season and milling operations.

Diaz Thursday said that personnel of the Provincial Health Office are monitoring their arrival at various ports in Bacolod City. The workers are expected to be fetched by their respective employers.

He added that the migrant workers will be placed under observation for several days at their respective “kwartel”.

“When they are fit for work, they will be allowed to mingle with the rest of the workers,” Diaz said./GB
