It was a blessed Resurrection Sunday.

At the Bacolod City Gospel Church, Pastor Manuel Tanjusay, in his Resurrection Sunday message, gave a three-pronged “F Challenge” to believers.

• Be FIRM in the faith – in the Lord Jesus, in God and His Word

• Be FRUITFUL in the work of the Lord.

• Be FAITHFUL in HIs service until He comes.

He gave the challenge after his message on “The Victorious Power of Christ’s Resurrection.”

He shared a Five-C outline of the ways the Resurrection Power are manifested:

• That the Resurrection gives CREDIBILITY to God’s words

• That the Resurrection COMPLETES the message of the Gospel – from Jesus’ birth, life, death, burial and His being risen from the grave

• That the Resurrection compels us to have the COURAGE in sharing the Gospel

• That the Resurrection CANCELS false beliefs – those that deny its truth

• That it has CONQUERED both sin and death

• That it CONFIRMS the future resurrection of believers.

The morning was capped with a breakfast fellowship, which provided an opportunity to attendees to exchange warm Easter greetings and thoughts.

With the 30th Panaad Festival in full swing, public interest is also rising over one of its highlights, the Lin-ay sang Negros, which will be held on Friday, April 17.

All 32 towns and cities are represented for the first time since the pageant was started.

Among the crowd favorites are the candidates from the six southernmost towns and cities.

They are my Cauayan ‘kasimanwa’ Elisha Krizzle Escultura, Pia Bianca Soriano (Candoni), Jerdie Rose Octavio (Hinoba-an), Bea Tricia Dela Peña (Ilog), Johanna Marie Oyog (Kabankalan) and Alexandra Lakatos (Sipalay). Shown on this page are the ladies in their festival costumes.

Best wishes, southern bets!
