The 15-day period in the second notice of violation issued to AMA Computer College–Bacolod Campus has lapsed July 22, with the school still failing to secure a valid business permit from the city government.
Secretary to the mayor, Atty. Jose Marty G, said they received a letter from the school July 20, acknowledging its failure to fulfill the requirements.
The school’s application for a business permit remains pending due to incomplete clearance requirements from the Bacolod Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO).
The school administration explained that the delay in acquiring the BENRO clearance was due to a lack of available personnel to conduct the necessary inspection.
The school noted that all preliminary assessment fees have been paid, and it is awaiting the issuance of the BENRO clearance to receive the final order of payment required to complete the business permit application.
Following the expiration of the notice, the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) will refer the case to the City Legal Office today, July 23, for appropriate action, Go said.
“If it’s incomplete and referred by the BPLO to the City Legal Office, the closure process is automatically initiated,” he added. | TMD
