The city government of Sagay in Negros Occidental will inaugurate the P156-million public bus terminal Saturday, June 11, in time for the 26th Charter anniversary celebration and oath-taking of elected officials.

The new bus terminal in Brgy. Poblacion II, fronting the Sagay National High School, features a two-storey architectural glass building and a parking space that can accommodate 18 buses all at once.

Its construction started January this year, with a total cost of P156,684,000, with P25,684,000 sourced from the city’s development fund and the bulk of P131 million loaned from the Land Bank of the Philippines.

This is one of the remaining landmark projects to be inaugurated under the term of Mayor Alfredo Marañon III before he assumes as 2nd District representative of the province on June 30.
