Little Miss Beauty is a photo competition for babies and children. Entries were asked to send five photos for the contest.

The competition allowed participants to automatically join the State- and USA-wide search. It required a mother or father to register the child-participant by submitting a parent profile.

Alexis, a first grader, is the only child of Jose Romulo Colago, a native of San Pablo City in Laguna, and the former Coleen Alunan, a Negrense.

The Colagos are both physical therapists. The family lives in Forest Hills, New York.

Alexis, who was entered in the 5-14 year-old category, was in the late December voting.

She is the granddaughter of Silaynons Joe and Suzie Alunan. “Her aunt, Sheila Alunan-Chua is her biggest fan,” Mom Coleen said.

Asked about her daughter’s participation in the contest, Coleen said, “It was fun and exciting,” adding it was Alexis’ aunt, Colette, who forwarded the contest link to her.

Alexis, Coleen added, is a “smart and happy girl, who loves art and wants to be a baker, so she could bake mama and dada a cake on our birthdays and a doctor so she can keep us all safe and could find a cure for the virus.”

I’m sure, her grand-parents are proud of her, she further said. – NND
