The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group operatives arrested Friday (Nov. 27) a suspect allegedly engaged in gunrunning activities during a buy-bust operation at Bangga Hermelinda Homes in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
Nabbed by by CIDG Bacolod Field Unit for violation of RA 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition, was Joel dela Cruz Sr, 56, of Granville 2, Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
The arrest of Dela Cruz, yielded a 45 caliber MK IV pistol with a magazine containing three live ammunition, a cellular phone, black Baja motorcycle, P100 in marked money and 22 pieces of boodle money and a COMRAID Task Force identification card.
According to the CIDG, the suspect is allegedly involved in gunrunning activities within Bacolod City and adjacent cities and towns in Negros Occidental – GB
