The provincial government of Negros Occidental has deployed five 911 emergency response teams in strategic locations across the province to further strengthen its emergency medical response services.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said each team is equipped with a Level 1 ambulance and staffed by five emergency medical responders, enabling faster access to life-saving medical assistance for residents during emergencies.
The teams are stationed in the local government units of Hinigaran, Murcia, Pulupandan, Manapla and Sagay City to ensure wider coverage and quicker response times throughout the province.
Diaz encouraged Negrenses who are near the designated emergency hubs to proceed directly to the facilities when immediate assistance is needed.
Residents in more distant locations are advised to dial 911 for urgent medical emergencies.
“Our teams can provide basic life support and first aid. More importantly, they can refer and transport patients to the nearest and most appropriate hospital registered and integrated under our One Hospital Command,” Diaz said.
He emphasized that the initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to delivering accessible and reliable emergency medical services to all residents.
Diaz said that under the leadership of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, the provincial government continues to enhance its emergency response capabilities to ensure that no resident is left without assistance during critical situations.
“No Negrense should be left on the streets without emergency assistance,” he added. | GB
