The Police Regional Office-6 arrested 393 individuals and confiscated P153,025 in cash bets in the campaign against illegal gambling all over Western Visayas last month.
Among the suspects, 231 were apprehended by the Negros Occidental Police Office while the Bacolod City Police Office arrested 49 others.
The remaining 113 violators were nabbed by the Antique, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan Police Provincial Offices while 18 had been arrested by the Iloilo City Police Office.
Commending them for a job well done, Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, police regional director of Western Visayas, advised the operatives to exert more effort to arrest those who still engage in the illegal activity. | GB
