City allots P200K assistance for Lin-ay sang Bacolod Elola

The city government allotted P200,000 in cash assistance to Miss Bacolod MassKara second runner-up Elli Rose Elola, of Barangay Singcang Airport, for her Lin-ay sang Negros pageant journey.

Elola, a B.S. Psychology graduate from the University of the Philippines, is representing the highly-urbanized city to the Lin-ay sang Negros pageant, with the press presentation and talent competition set at 5 p.m. today, April 12, at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central.

As per the memorandum of agreement ratified by the Sangguniang Panlungsod April 8, the monetary assistance is for the one-month preparation, including pre-pageant and coronation night expenses.

These include transportation and food allowance; wardrobe and glam, like pageant shoes, evening gown, festival costume, swimsuit, and for the talent presentation; daily and pre-pageant dresses, and hair and makeup services.

Elola is among the 29 contestants in the search for this year’s Lin-ay sang Negros, with the grand coronation to be held at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, on April 19.
