Twenty-four contestants are vying for this year’s Mr. & Ms. Teen MassKara, with the grand coronation set Oct. 13 at Acacia Hotel Convention Hall in Bacolod City.
Samuel Benedict Uy, Derick Dwayne Austria, Marjoe Toquillo, Jag Martin Go, Manteshwar Boparai, James Joseph Manalo, John Robert De Oca, Adrian Gonzales, Gregg Dwyne Olamit, Ryan Vividor, Adrian Garcia, and Terence Lloyd Alvarez are the contestants for Mr. Teen MassKara.
Maxine Louise Martin, Jormaine Juarez, Lexelle Pardillo, Kira Viktoria Frankincense Gomez, Yashna Sumir Sharma, Shane Combate, Justine Jade Java, Janila Marie Montes, Angel Mae Baldoquin, Romely Yuri Caletina, Janabea Gepana, and Ashley Cañete, meanwhile, will battle it out for the Ms. Teen MassKara crown.
“This year’s Mr. & Ms. Teen MassKara’s powerful theme emphasizes the potential of young people to shape and lead our society. This embodies the idea that teenagers, equipped with the right tools and knowledge, and shaped with the correct values, can be empowered to take charge of their futures,” the pageant organizer said.
With the advent of social media and internet tools, this generation can be a truly powerful force and be the voice of leadership, education, and mental health, and be active socially in supporting charitable causes, it added.
SM Bacolod, in a post, said “the vibrant energy of MassKara shines through as Mr. and Ms. Teen MassKara contestants dazzle in their stunning Mardi Gras costumes during the preliminary competition Oct. 9.”
