Incoming Bacolod City Legal Officer Romeo Carlos Ting Jr. said he expects the transition team of the Leonardia administration to turn over all the documents requested by mayor-elect Alfredo Benitez today, June 30, at the Bacolod Government Center.
The change in administration is at noon today.
Benitez earlier said “most of the documents requested by our transition team from the outgoing administration will be officially turned over noon on June 30, as discussed during the first meeting between the outgoing and incoming transition teams June 22 at the Masskara Hall of the Government Center.”
Benitez’s transition team is headed by Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya, who stressed that the objective of the transition is for transparency and the betterment of the City.
In his letter to Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag of the city Department of Interior and Local Government dated May 30, Benitez said his transition team, that also includes Councilor Al Victor Espino, and lawyers Caesar Distrito, Pacifico Maghari III, Karol Joseph Chiu, and Ting, expects that the appointed Local Governance Transition Team has already executed or at least commenced the inventory of immovable properties of the city, such as land, permanent structures such as buildings, infrastructure facilities and its improvements, and machineries made immovable, and properties such as vehicles;
Movable equipment, stocks, among others, office furniture, fixtures, and office supply; and ongoing projects, especially infrastructure projects such as roads, buildings, water supply and sanitation, and other development projects, to include data such as physical accomplishments and financial status.
The official documents and/or records of official transactions, meanwhile, should include governance assessment report for 2022, COA 2021 report, contracts and loan agreements, comprehensive development plan, provincial/local development investment program, 2022 investment program, comprehensive land use plan, organizational structure and staffing pattern, inventory of personnel by nature of appointment, ordinances and resolutions, and LGU devolution transition plan, among others, as well as concerned full disclosure policy documents.
