Sidlak Kadalag-an Queen preliminaries set March 21

The 12 Sidlak Kadalag-an Queen candidates vying for this year’s crown will show what they’ve got in terms of talent, wit, and creativity during the preliminary competition on March 21, starting at 7 p.m., at the Sidlak Victorias Global City Activity Center.

The show is for free, and seats will be on a first-come, first-served basis, the city Public Information Office said.

The candidates are Ammeline Alegarbes, Kathleen Makinano, Micaella Sigua, Wincy Kate Beral, Chrisha Mae Perje, Jada Biaxyl Celeste, Shane Chavez, Elvie Mae Barrios, Noveh Mae Ocag, Regeena Yzabiel Dela Cruz, BG Da-anoy, and Maricel Barrientos.

Meanwhile, some of the country’s biggest names in pageantry will troop to Victorias on March 22 for the grand coronation night.

Miss International 2023 3rd runner-Up Nicole Borromeo, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatriz Luigi Gomez, and Miss Universe Philippines 2020 4th runner-up Billie Hakenson will be part of the esteemed lineup of judges, the city said.

They will be joined by Bacolod City first lady Dominique Lopez-Benitez, celebrity judges Chanel Morales and Johannes Rissler, and Jim Ryan Ros of Aces and Queens, the city said March 3.

The star-studded show on the fourth Friday of this month will be held at the City Sports and Amusement Center, also for free, starting at 8 p.m., and will be hosted by Miss Supranational 2023 1st runner-up Pauline Amelinckx and Negrosanon top film director/producer and seasoned event host, Kurt Steven Soberano. ||
