P137K in shabu, gun seized in San Carlos

Police arrested two suspects in possession of around 20.28 grams of suspected shabu, worth P137,904, during a joint drug and illegal firearm operation at Seaside Village, Barangay 1, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Sept. 16.

San Carlos City Police Station Drug Enforcement Team operatives apprehended the two, who both reside in the area, after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

During the body search, a loaded Smith & Wesson .357 caliber revolver, with three live rounds, was also recovered from one of the suspects, the police said.

The suspected shabu will undergo laboratory examination, while both suspects remain in police custody and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or the Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. | TMD
