Two minors died during a vehicular accident at Km. 33 in Victorias City, Negros Occidental yesterday.
The victims, who identified as Robert Dolorosa, 16, and Jeffrey Malana, 14, were both declared dead on arrival at the Ika-ayong Lawas Medical Foundation Clinic, the police said.
Lt. Col. Eduardo Corpuz, chief of Victorias City Police Station, said the motorcycle collided with a cargo truck driven by Virgel Susana, which was running in an opposite direction, while overtaking another vehicle.
Because of the strong impact, the two minors, who were not wearing helmets, were thrown off from the motorcycle.
Both succumbed to head injuries, police said.
Susana is now under police custody, pending further investigation of the incident. – GB
