His Life Ministries (HLM), a Bible-based Christian church, is celebrating its 31st Foundation Week this month.
The celebration will be observed in Bacolod City, its home base, and in at least 14 other cities nationwide where HLM has established more than 80 congregations.
The anniversary activities, which started Feb. 10, will culminate with the Foundation Day worship-celebration on Sunday, Feb. 25.
Jose Roberto Ramos, HLM founding pastor, said kicking the anniversary activities off was the Feb. 10 launch of ACCELERATE, the His Life nationwide network of professionals.
On Feb. 16, YOUTH XTREME, the HLM young people’s network, marked its 22nd anniversary at Ayala Malls Capitol Central. “Young people from various campuses gathered to celebrate and give their hearts to Jesus,'” Pastor Ramos said.
The Deep Bench in 1 Conference, “a gathering filled with empowerment and truth”, was held on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Also held this week was Three-Day High Dawn Watch – on Feb. 18-21 – which served as an occasion “to seek the Lord in praise and prayer,” he said, adding that HLM also dedicated Julius Hall, a mixed-use building of the church.
The Relationships Night Conversations will be held today at the HLM Grounds at Sta. Clara Subdivision. It will be attended by young people, engaged and married couples.
Tomorrow, Feb. 22, the ‘God is Good’ movement will distribute bags and Bibles in selected barangays nationwide.
The Foundation Night celebration will be held at HLM Grounds on Feb. 23. “It will be a night of praise, fellowship, and reminiscing,” Ramos said, “and also of declaring the faithfulness of God to the now and beyond.”
Also included in the activities is the Go Beyond Sports event on Saturday which is focused on physical activities, wellness, and fitness.
The Feb. 25 worship celebration will be held nationwide – in various sites and corners, Ramos further said.
In Negros, HLM has congregations in the cities of Bacolod, Bago, San Carlos, La Carlota, Cadiz, Victorias, Sagay, and in Dumaguete, Bais, as well as in the Negros Oriental towns of Manjuyod and Jimalalud.
It has churches also in Makati, BGC in Taguig City, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo City, Anilao and other municipalities.
His Life has a ministry in Thailand and is exploring expanding to Vietnam and Cambodia through its Missions Exposure Program this summer, Ramos added.
Likewise, it operates two schools – His Life Learning Center (K-6) and a divinity school offering leadership training as well as masteral and post-graduate programs in Theology. | AVDC
