Bacolod City has again made it to the Top 5 in the search for the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) for 2026, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) said last night, Sept. 16.
This marks Bacolod’s third consecutive year in the Top 5 leaderboard, following its national victory in 2024 and another finalist recognition in 2025, the city said.
Bacolod now advances to the final judging, where the city government will showcase its initiatives in streamlining business processes, attracting investments, and strengthening the local economy.
The goal remains the same – making Bacolod a city where businesses thrive, investments grow, and more jobs and opportunities reach every Bacolodnon, it added.
Aside from Bacolod, also in the Top 5 in the City Level 1B category of the 2026 Most Business-Friendly LGU Awards are Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, and Lapu-Lapu City.
“These LGUs have demonstrated their commitment to creating a more business-friendly, innovative, and enabling environment for businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs in their respective communities,” the PCCI added. ||
