PNP chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, has designated P/Col. Roderick Alba as the new spokesman of the Philippine National Police.
Alba, a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1992, will replace P/Brig. Gen. Rolando Olay, who was designated by Eleazar as the chief of the PNP Directorate for Logistics.
The appointment of Alba as the new PNP spokesman will take effect Oct. 1.
Prior to his new appointment, Alba served as the deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Information Technology Management System.
He also served as officer-in-charge of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Offce, provincial police director of Iloilo, and head of the Regional Operation Plans and Division of the Police Regional Office 6 at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City, among numerous other assignments.
The PNP spokesman is a star-rank position. — GB
