Marijuana plants uprooted

San Carlos policemen uprooted marijuana plants in Sitio Natuay, Barangay Codcod in the city Feb. 14.

The police discovered the marijuana plantation, about 42 kilometers from the city proper, and allegedly being cultivated by Benjie Clarion, 43, of the sitio.

The operating teams were able to uproot about 96 marijuana plants, all worth P19,200.

Clarion is detained at the custodial facility of the San Carlos City Police Station, while the prohibited plants will be turned over to the PNP Crime Laboratory. — MML
