Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson distributed 156 heads of breeder piglets to local government units under the Third District of Negros Occidental.

The activity, held in Silay City,  was attended by livestock breeders of the cities of Silay Victorias, Talisay and the municipalities of Murcia and E.B. Magalona, who are also members of the Alliance of Hog Raisers Association of Negros Occidental.

The livelihood project is part of the animal genetic improvement program of the Capitol under the Provincial Veterinary Office.

The PVO also distributed veterinary drugs, supplies and biologics, and allowance for all paravets of the Third District, a Capitol press release said.

The same program is being implemented in other districts of the province to ensure food security and sustainable  source of livelihood for breeders.
