The first run of the Asenso Serbisyo Caravan, a quarterly mobile government services program of Negros Occidental Third District Rep. Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez, served 7,059 clients across five cities and municipalities from October 19 to 26.

Silay City recorded the highest turnout with 2,013 clients, followed by Murcia with 1,753, E.B. Magalona with 1,164, Talisay City with 1,067, and Victorias City with 1,062.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) served the most clients at 5,030, primarily through National ID and civil registration services. It was followed by the Social Security System with 746 clients, Commission on Elections with 389, Pag-IBIG Fund with 380, Local Civil Registrar’s Office with 289, and National Bureau of Investigation with 225.

The caravan brought the six agencies closer to residents, providing services ranging from birth, marriage and death certificates, CENOMAR, National ID registration and updating, and delayed birth registration to SSS, Pag-IBIG and NBI clearance services.

The NBI also processed free clearances for qualified first-time jobseekers under Republic Act No. 11261.

The caravan opened at the Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Arts and Cultural Center in Victorias City and concluded at the Murcia Public Plaza Covered Court.

The Asenso Serbisyo Caravan will be held quarterly, with the next run scheduled for January 2027. Benitez’s office also plans to bring additional government agencies into succeeding caravans. ||
