Vice President Sara Duterte’s net worth increased by nearly 1,260 percent during her years in public office, climbing from P7.25 million in 2007 to P98.65 million in 2025, according to her Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) presented before the Senate sitting as an Impeachment Court.
Atty. Karen Batu of the Office of the Ombudsman’s Central Records Division authenticated Duterte’s SALNs during Day 25 of the trial.
Records showed her net worth reached P71.65 million in 2022, the year she was elected Vice President, and continued to rise to P77.5 million in 2023, P88.5 million in 2024, and P98.65 million in 2025.
Batu testified that Duterte’s wealth grew by 37.67 percent while serving as Vice President, despite constitutional restrictions against engaging in business.
Her SALNs listed corporate and business interests, including shares in food, shipping, and security companies, as well as ventures declared by her husband, Atty. Manases Carpio.
The SALNs also showed Duterte stopped declaring cash holdings after 2019, even as her net worth continued to rise.
She previously reported cash assets ranging from P2 million to P6.37 million between 2007 and 2018. ||
