A local content creator and his companion were arrested after anti-narcotics agents seized from them 50 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P340,000, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 10, Bacolod City, Aug. 25.
Joint law enforcement teams collared the 35-year-old vlogger alias “Joselito”, or “Julia TV”, alongside alias “Christian”, 32, at around 2:50 p.m. in Purok Magtiayon.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region seized 13 transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, an improvised drug tooter with residue, and the buy-bust money used in the operation.
Authorities also confiscated two cellular phones, eight bank books, five ATM cards, two lighters, a black shoulder bag, a black pouch, and a coin purse.
The joint operation was spearheaded by the PDEA-NIR, with the PNP Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit NIR, and the Bacolod City Police Office Police Station 2.
Both suspects are in custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | TMD
