The seventh most wanted person in the Negros Island Region was arrested by the police during a manhunt operation in Barangay Delicioso, Ilog, Negros Occidental on July 3.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Gem,” 22, a farmer and resident of Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City, is facing a murder case without bail.
The arrested suspect has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of two brothers following an altercation outside a neighborhood store.
The incident started after the victims’ mother informed the suspect and his companions that she was closing her store where they had been drinking.
One of the victims, who had been awakened by the commotion, confronted the group but was attacked and stabbed.
His brother rushed to intervene but was also stabbed by the suspect and his three co-accused. | GPB
