Two most wanted persons in Negros Island Region (NIR) were arrested in the past four days in Negros Oriental.
Alias “Louie”, who ranked eighth in the top 10 most wanted persons, was apprehended on Oct. 4 in Dumaguete City by virtue of an arrest warrant for three counts of rape.
The charges stemmed from allegations that the suspect, who was then working as a security guard, sexually assaulted the daughter of an apartment caretaker.
He had threatened to kill her, if she will report the incident to the police.
Alias “Tatot”, who is number nine in the list, was arrested on Oct. 7 in Barangay Azagra, Tanjay City.
The 40-year-old accused is facing charges for four counts of qualified rape.
Police investigation showed the suspect sexually assaulted a deaf-mute victim.
Both arrested suspects were denied bail by the court. | GB
