OVP distributes 2,697 relief boxes to flood-hit Negrenses

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) distributed 2,697 relief boxes to residents in 12 cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental affected by heavy rains and flooding due to habagat and the recent Tropical Storm “Crising”.

The distribution July 20 was led by personnel from the OVP-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office, in coordination of the local governments of Himamaylan, Binalbagan, and Ilog, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office of Himamaylan, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Army, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Rescue Recon, a press release said. ||
