NegOcc barangays get P48.7 million

A total of P48.7 million was distributed to 195 barangays of various towns and cities in Negros Occidental to fund their respective development projects.

Each beneficiary barangay received P250,000 for projects, including the installation of solar streetlights, purchase of multi-purpose vehicles, acquisition of office equipment, construction of concrete bleachers and canopies, building of perimeter fences, and concreting of barangay roads, the Capitol said Feb. 3.

Other projects include the construction of comfort rooms, multi-purpose covered courts improvements, installing water pipelines, construction of multi-purpose buildings, purchase of DRRM supplies and equipment, constructing footbridges, acquiring CCTV cameras, establishing community centers, rehabilitation of daycare centers, and water systems improvement. ||
