The Negros Oriental provincial government has reimplemented a four-day compressed workweek as a temporary energy conservation and cost-saving measure.
In his executive order issued Sept. 26, Governor Manuel Sagarbarria said the renewed increases in fuel prices and continuing energy-cost volatility warrant the reimplementation of appropriate conservation and cost-saving measures without impairing public service delivery.
Capitol personnel shall report onsite work from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, with one hour lunch break from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
All offices shall observe prudent use of airconditioning, lighting, computers and other equipment, use virtual meetings when appropriate, limit official travel and consolidate trips, optimize routes, minimize vehicle idling and monitor electricity and fuel consumptions, Sagabarria said. | GPB
