Anti-drug operations conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office yielded at least 371 grams of suspected shabu, worth P2.5 million, and led to the arrest of five suspects, including two high-value individuals (HVI) and a minor, in the span of 24 hours.
The largest seizure occurred in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, where BCPO Police Station 8 operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at around 7:43 p.m. Sept. 28 in Purok Grasya.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a 45-year-old HVI, and two street-level individuals, including a 17-year-old minor from Tugegarao City.
Operatives confiscated 280 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P1,904,000, a silver Nissan Terra SUV, and marked money.
At around 6:43 p.m. that same day, BCPO Police Station 1 personnel arrested an 18-year-old male HVI, and seized suspected shabu, all weighing 75 grams and valued at P510,000, alongside marked money, in a buy-bust at Buena Park Subdivision in Brgy. Estefania.
The same police station also conducted a buy-bust Sept. 27 in Purok Dalawidaw Street, Barangay 16, that led to the arrest of a 33-year-old street-level suspect, and the recovery of 16 grams of suspected shabu, worth P108,800.
The BCPO said all recovered items were inventoried and documented, in compliance with Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the five suspects are detained at the respective station custodial facilities, pending the filing of formal charges. | TMD
