Comelec logs 2M registered voters in NegOcc.

Negros Occidental has 2,009,564 registered voters, including highly urbanized Bacolod City, for next year’s midterm elections, according to the Commission on Elections.

Of the six congressional districts in Negros Occidental, the 3rd district has the highest number of registered voters at 318,496, followed by 6th district with 311,782,  5th district, 302,714, 1st district, 258,527, 4th district, 248,782 and 212,939 in the 2nd district.

Bacolod City has 356,814 registered voters.

Of the registered voters, Comelec records indicated that 1,025,698 are female and 983,866 are male.

However, Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria noted  a reduction among registered voters for the 2025 elections.

In previous synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in 2023, Comelec recorded 2,014,725 voters in the province, which is lower by 5,161 compared to 2,009,564 for the 2025 elections. | GB
