Anti-drug operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated P1.39 million worth of suspected shabu from a suspect, who was arrested at Purok San Jose 2 in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City yesterday.

The arrest of a certain “Lando”, 33, conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit yielded 209 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.394 million.

The suspect was categorized by the police as a high-value individual.

Last week, the BCPO also confiscated about 80 grams of suspected shabu valued at P540,000 from a woman identified only as “Inday”, 21, in Barangay Banago.

The police has been further intensifying the anti-illegal drugs campaign as they anticipate the increase in supply of prohibited drugs in line with the celebration of the MassKara Festival this month. | GB
