The admission of patients in two government-managed hospitals in Negros Occidental have been temporarily halted since July 27 due to full bed capacity.

In an advisory, the management of Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Sagay City said that the number of patients coming in to the medical facility has greatly increased.

As this has resulted in full bed capacity, “we will only cater to extreme emergency cases,” it added.

The hospital management advised the public to look for an alternative hospital.

The Cauayan District Hospital in southern Negros also reported that it has reached the maximum bed capacity, both in the emergency room and the ward.

Only extreme emergency cases will be catered to as of this moment, the CDH management said in an advisory.

The management of the two hospitals assured the public of updates as soon as the situation changes. | GB
