Seven police commissioned officers assigned at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office were given new assignments as part of the reshuffling implemented by P/Col. Romy Palgue, NOCPPO director.

Lt. Col. Norberto Barniso is now the officer-in-charge of the Cauayan Police Station, replacing Lt. Col. Lowell Garinganao, effective July 2.

Lt. Col. Rollie Pondevilla was designated OIC of the Calatrava Police Station and replaced P/Maj. Roberto Indiape, who is now assigned at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

P/Lt. Abegael Donasco, deputy spokesperson of NOCPPO, reported yesterday that Garinganao, former Cauayan police chief, is now the chief of the Human Rights Affairs Office of NOCPPO.

P/Capt. Ellendie Rebusquillo assumed the command of the Binalbagan Police Station, replacing Maj. Ferdinand Soblingo, who is now assigned as deputy of the Provincial Operations Management Unit.

P/Lt. Col. Mark Evan Salvo, who came from the Iloilo City Police Office, has been designated the Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit head, Donasco said.

The reshuffling of PCOs occupying key positions aims to avoid familiarity that may affect the performance of concerned police units, she added. – GB
