The Social Security System will hold an eWheels activity on Sept. 11, starting at 10 a.m., at the main atrium of SM City Bacolod, as part of its 67th anniversary celebration.

Services offered during the eWheels include medical evaluation of sickness and disability claims, annual confirmation of pensioners, including death, disability and retirement inquiries, assistance in online transaction, SS number issuance, web registration, Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM), loan application, loan condonation of penalty application;

Generation of Payment Reference Number (PRN), and acceptance of E-4, or member data change request form that can be used to update personal information with the SSS, like change of name, address, contact details, other personal information, or request to change membership type.

The e-Wheels provides ease and convenience to SSS members by setting up a mobile booth in different locations to assist them with their concerns without physically visiting the branches to transact.

This is part of SSS’ commitment in providing stakeholders with correct and accurate information on SSS benefits and loan programs, and bringing services closer to the public.

Meanwhile, SSS executive vice president for Branch Operations Sector Voltaire Agas said in a press release that, at present, the SSS contribution rate stands at 14 percent, and the monthly salary credit (MSC) used to determine the amount of monthly contribution ranges from P4,000 to P30,000 for self-employed members.

Agas said the lowest monthly contribution is pegged at P570, with P560 as regular SSS contribution and P10 as EC (Employees’ Compensation) contribution.

The highest monthly contribution is P4,230, or P2,800 as regular SSS contribution, P30 for the EC contribution, and P1,400 for the mandatory MySSS Pension Booster. | CGC
