Nerfee Capuras Casilao, a graduate of Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, landed in the seventh spot in the August medical technologists licensure examination, with a rating of 90.90 percent, the Professional Regulation Commission said Aug. 13.
It added that 3,872 passed out of the 5,574 examinees, for a national passing rate of 69.47 percent, in the exams given by the Board of Medical Technology in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cebu, and Davao last week.
Riana Beatriz Tungol Siron of the University of Santo Tomas ranked first, with a rating of 92.30 percent.
Starting Sept. 19, 2024, registration for the issuance of professional identification cards and certificates of registration will be done on-line, the PRC said, adding that those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70 percent can register as medical laboratory technician.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced soon, the PRC said. | CGC
