Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said that PCol. Rainerio De Chavez, who was installed yesterday as the acting police provincial director of Negros Occidental, was highly recommended by his advisers on police matters.

Chavez officially assumed on Thursday the leadership of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO), replacing PCol. Leo Pamittan.

PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, police regional director of Western Visayas, presided the turnover of command at the Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

Lacson said he expects that De Chavez will be as efficient as his predecessors.

De Chavez, a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class 2000, previously served as officer-in-charge of Rizal PPO and also as police provincial director of Batangas PPO.

He is expected to have a courtesy call on Lacson after his assumption of NOCPPO leadership. | GB
