The Sagay City Government in Negros Occidental forged a partnership with the International College of Advanced Education in Northern Territory, Australia to offer study and work programs for Sagaynons.
A memorandum of understanding was signed by Mayor Narciso “Narwin” Javelosa Jr., and ICAE chief executive officer Sean Mahoney at Balay Kauswagan in Sagay recently, and the local chief executive said he is grateful for the partnership since this will have an impact on the lives of would-be beneficiaries.
Under the agreement is a study and work program for scholars of Sagay, who will benefit from skills training and will be assisted in completing the requirements for an Australian visa to study in the Northern Territory, the city said.
General Consul to Northern Territory Januario Rivas, Brian O’Gallengher of the City of Darwin, Vice Mayor Leo Rafael Cueva, and city councilors and officials witnessed the MOU signing. ||
