Treatment areas have also been expanded to accommodate a higher volume of patients. There are bigger urgent care beds for both pedia and adult patients; improved OR, Trauma, and OB minor units; four separate rooms with negative pressure; and, an isolation unit for infectious case patients.

Advanced diagnostic capabilities for rapid and accurate assessments are now also available, like a central cardiac monitoring system; a dedicated resuscitation unit, cardio and neuro unit, and a decontamination unit; and, a medical central gas and vacuum system.

The RMCI said it also enhanced patient comfort and privacy features, improved triage area, a dedicated non-urgent care area and an OPD isolation consultation room, in-house central registration, admission and cashier; and, dedicated laboratory and pharmacy personnel.

There is also seamless integration with other departments for streamlined care coordination; and comprehensive training programs for hospital staff to stay abreast of the latest medical advancements, particularly involving Emergency Medicine.

“The inauguration of the new ER represents a significant milestone in the RMCI’s ongoing commitment to excellence in healthcare,” the hospital management said. “While our standards are global, our touch stays personal.”

By combining state-of-the-art infrastructure with compassionate patient care, the hospital aims to set a new benchmark for emergency medical services, while retaining the compassion and care that Negreneses are known for, the RMCI stressed. ||
