The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) logged 13 ash emission episodes during the weekend, which produced plumes that rose to as high as 600 meters above the Mt. Kanlaon summit.
The ashing events lasted two minutes to one hour and five minutes, according to Phivolcs.
Mt. Kanlaon remains under Alert Level 2 or increased unrest.
Since Oct. 19 this year, the Kanlaon Volcano Network has recorded 55 ash emission episodes.
In an advisory, Phivolcs said it also recorded three volcanic quakes in the past 24 hours, and logged emission of 7,082 tons of sulfur dioxide on Nov. 16. | GB
