P1.15-million shabu seized in Bacolod

Policemen seized about P1.156 million worth of suspected shabu from a suspect, who was arrested during a buy-bust at Purok 1 Sisi in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City on Sunday (June 15).

The arrest of alias “Michael”, a high-value individual drug personality, by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLt. Richard Legada yielded an estimated 170 grams of shabu.

On June 14, the implementation of a search warrant at Purok Riverside in Barangay Don Salvador Benedicto, Pontevedra resulted in the arrest of alias “KL” and the recovery of about 75 grams of shabu worth P510,000  and a caliber .38 revolver with six ammunition.

Six other suspects were separately arrested by the police on the same day in the cities of Cadiz, Bago and San Carlos as well as the municipalities of Manapla, Hinobaan and Pulupandan in Negros Occidental, which yielded about 11 grams of suspected shabu worth P74,596.

The apprehension of alias “Rafael,” 56, following the conduct of raid at his residence in Sitio Balatoc, Barangay Balicotoc, Ilog resulted in the recovery of an improvised 12-gauge shotgun with two ammunition.

A buy-bust at Purok Tabunok in Barangay Tiglawigan, Cadiz City  led to the arrest of a fisherman identified as alias “Robert,” 36, and the confiscation of a caliber .38 revolver with two ammunition and P3,100 in marked money. | GB
