OVY, LRY in full control of family-owned bus companies

Matriarch Olivia Yanson and youngest son, Leo Rey, completed their full control of all subsidiaries of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies.

Goldstar Bus Transit Inc. and Ceres Transport Inc. held their annual stockholders meeting, Monday Feb. 1, and re-elected Leo Rey Yanson, Ginnette Dumancas, lawyer Collin Derk Isidto, Hernan Omecillo and Danny Lorenton as members of the GBTI board.

The CTI board, in another meeting, also re-elected Ginnette Dumancas, Leo Rey Yanson, Olivia Yanson, Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Daniel Nicolas Golez, Arvin Villaruel, Anita Chua, Joseph Ellery Villanueva, Hernan Omecillo and Alfredo Ligo as members of the board of directors.

The newly-elected directors of both corporations likewise held an organizational meeting where Leo Rey was re-appointed as chairman of the board and president, while Olivia got a new mandate as corporate secretary and treasurer.

Stockholders Roy Yanson and Ricardo Yanson Jr. were a no-show in the same board meeting, a press release from the company said.

CTI and GBTI are the two companies within the Yanson group that operate in Luzon. – PR
