Each work produced comes from a personal way of looking…still changing, still being figured out. Brought together, these pieces mark the beginning of individual artistic paths. They vary in style, medium, and subject, but each one carries the weight of finding language on its own, transforming a word into images and form, and expressing works that continues to take shape, the exhibit brief states.

In the act of creation, not only do artists produce something, but they themselves are being transformed through the process, it added.
